The Greek Afternoon School 

The Cathedral Greek Afternoon School is entitled "THE GREEK SCHOOL" and its motto is “savor education.” Its goal has been to teach children the Greek language, Greek culture and history, Greek traditions and dancing.

Since its inception in the early 90’s, the Afternoon Greek School program has grown steadily, now averaging approximately 75 students each year from the Manhattan area. Classes for children ages 3–16 are held Monday through Friday afternoons from

The School offers sections for kindergarten, beginners, intermediate and advanced as well as Greek Regents and where children above 15 years old are taught Modern Greek Literature and Ancient Greek. The School’s “Cultural Workshop” teaches Children’s Greek Literature, mythology and Children’s Theater.
